Surprised why the Jean Lesage Airport and Gare de Palais isn’t in the first phase of the plan, would be great to have a good connection for both. Canada seems to be good at them now with UP Express, Canada Line, and soon REM YUL branch and Airport Line 4

Some of the routing of the tramsway will have right-of-ways along with a SINGLE traffic lane. Will have to see if they will have the single-occupant automobile priority that Toronto has or will the trams have real priority over the automobile.

Seems like they would in this case, single auto lane is for access not throughput!

This is a really detailed comment! Thank you!

It's really impressive what the French have done with their tramways. I love the look of Marseilles Trams, they almost look like they are upside down. I think the Paris system is extremely interesting in particular and the newest lines are just gorgeous from rolling stock to urban design. I need to remake my explainer video!

That being said, I am not as positive on some things about Quebecs plans, the costs are high and in line with other North American cities as opposed to much lower French costs. I think I'd say the same about the STM metro, it seems the French influence is all but gone. RE the vehicles, I don't think they will use the same prod line as Toronto, but I don't have confirmation.

Really curious to see what happens with the cross river line, any updates coming soon? It will be interesting if QC has tram and then "something else"
